Because Khao Lak wants to be a quiet, family-friendly resort, nighttime activities are limited to eating, chatting, making friends, reading, playing, or having a drink at a beach bar. A stroll along the main street with a dinner in a restaurant or a visit to a bar is also an option. Cocktails usually cost 120 baht, beers between 60 and 90 baht.
Nevertheless, nightlife has increased noticeably in recent years. However, this is mostly in Bang Niang.
Night life in Khao Lak
Bang Niang
In Bang Niang, the offer for night owls is significantly larger than in Nang Thong, Khao Lak Center.
The partially open THE STORY BAR is the most popular meeting place in town for European and local residents. A colorful mix of crazy guys and motorcycle enthusiasts compete for the best music videos, which are transmitted to a large screen via a fiber optic cable. The billiards players have also found their Eldorado at the best pool table in town.
Right next door is Khao Lak's only disco, the BUILD Factory. Before things really go off there from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., you can chill out on the terrace in the cool wind from 7:00 p.m.

The Moo Moo Cabaret is only open from September 15th to mid-April
The well-known Moo Moo Cabaret is a colorful and funny ladyboy show that has performances daily from 9.45pm to 11.15pm (additionally Mon, Wed, Sat at 7.15pm) and is located on the main street next to the bridge.
Admission is free, so the drink prices are slightly higher.

Khao Lak (Nang Thong)
In Khao Lak (Nang Thong) on the main street is the old-established Happy Snapper Bar, where live bands play after 10 p.m., which is mostly visited by foreigners.
Before the traffic lights to the south on the left side is the always well attended Monkey Bar (1 man guitar music). Opposite the Monkey Bar on the right is the Monster Bar (Live Band).
